Vote for Scott Kohlhaas for State House

liberty

"I'm running for State House to put your life back in your hands, not in the hands of the politicians. It's time to cut taxes, protect individual freedoms, and ensure that our children have access to the best medical care and education possible."

STATEMENT:

I realize that some of the problems we face in the Mountain View, Russian Jack and Turpin areas of District 20 seem insurmountable. I don't think we can count on any significant solution coming from outside District 20. In ourselves alone lies the future of our neighborhoods, and I believe in the future because of the people who live and work in our district.

I have met with the principals of Wonder Park Elementary School, Clark Middle School, Creekside Park Elementary School, William Tyson Elementary School and Ptarmigan Elementary School. They move me to get them what they need to complete their mission.

I see Hugh Wade, Nikki Burrows, Kep Peirce, Jaye Keener and Ricky Garcia trying to organize the best elements of the community through the Mountain View Community Council clean-up and other projects.

I rode with Fred Shriner and the Volunteers of Mountain View Community Patrol making a nightly stand against crime and for law and order.

I witnessed Kathleen Plunkett and the Russian Jack Community Council organize the building of Williwaw Park in one day — a miracle!

All of these people and more have given me their time and explained their needs. I am devastated by the work they do, the passion they have and the desperation of their situation.

I mention these heroes not to imply that they support my campaign, but to recognize them and express that I would be honored to be elected to empower these incredible people.
